— it helps other students.
This master's degree takes a close look at historical periods, events and themes, training students to carry out in-depth research, critically evaluate sources and work directly with primary materials. By encouraging specialisation in cultural, political or social history, the programme builds the research skills and historical knowledge needed for careers in academia, archives, museums and other fields that call for historical expertise.
Taught at the Nasinu and Lautoka campuses over two years for 240 credit points, the degree opens with historical methods, political thought, historiography and environmental history before a second year devoted to a master's research thesis.
