Overview

The Bachelor of Humanities in community education at Humak's Helsinki campus is taught in English on campus during the day over 3.5 years, worth 210 ECTS. It produces youth and community work professionals who emphasise wellbeing knowledge, sustainability thinking and forward-looking approaches. Learning is experiential and activity-based and aims to support the growth and participation of individuals, groups and communities and to empower them. The curriculum includes 15 ECTS of Finnish language studies and bilingual instruction, with a language pathway to help students reach B1 Finnish. Learning takes place in authentic environments, urban nature and collaborative projects with local partners, suiting both international and domestic students.
