You will begin your studies in English without Finnish language requirement. The programme is also suitable for Finnish speakers who wish to study in English.Metropolia's degree programme in paramedic provides broad competence in the prehospital care area. The degree enables you to work as an emergency care provider (ALS paramedic) in the network of urgent care services, in co-operation with other agencies. The core of the degree is the emergency patient in prehospital environment and multiagency co-operation. You learn to assess the need for treatment in non-emergency patients and to guide them to the appropriate service for help. Paramedics work, for example, in ambulances, ER, intensive care units, and high dependency units, in emergency departments.
