The Doctoral Program in Sport and Health Sciences offers a path to becoming a high-level researcher and expert in the field of human movement, health, and well-being. The faculty's broad research portfolio combines approaches from the natural sciences, educational sciences, and humanities and social sciences. This multidisciplinary environment allows doctoral students to utilize diverse research methodologies and focus into their chosen field of study as part of an active research environment that supports the development of critical thinking and the building of an independent research career.Doctoral education is a 3–4-year program centered on the dissertation process, designed to provide a strong methodological and theoretical foundation for high-level scientific research. The program promotes international engagement, scientific networking, and collaboration with relevant research communities.The faculty’s research infrastructure supports comprehensive sport and health sciences research, and digital measurement and monitoring methods allow the study of health, functioning, and behaviour change both in the laboratory and in natural everyday environments.
