Overview
The Bachelor's track in Computer Science and Engineering at Oulu gives a broad grounding in the basics of computer science, including programming, hardware, software, artificial intelligence and data processing, alongside supporting mathematics such as matrix analysis, statistics and probability theory; no prior programming experience is required to start. Students choose an orientation from Artificial Intelligence, Applied Computing, Computer Engineering or Cyber Security, and can further tailor the degree with supplementary modules and optional studies, building practical skills through exercises and project work that lead into the Master's level. At Master's level, students deepen their chosen orientation and take further optional studies to shape an individual expert profile, finishing equipped to design and develop algorithms, software, hardware and systems, or to continue into postgraduate study.
