The two-year Master Mechanics and Materials for Sustainable Engineering is a multidisciplinary programme in mechanical engineering. It covers mechanical design with material choice guided by environmental impact, bio-based materials, the development of biopolymers and biocomposites for 3D printing, and life-cycle management of parts, products and structures, including maintenance planning. The first semester includes a mechanical engineering project, a 220-hour project in mechanics and materials, and French and personal development training. The second semester covers structural optimisation, fracture mechanics, maintenance optimisation, bio-based materials, marketing, management and economics, followed by a 16-week internship. The third semester covers sustainable manufacturing, innovative materials and experimental characterisation of materials.
