Program details

Overview

This two-year offshore wind energy Master, taught in English, is run by the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, combining ENSTA (Paris-Saclay and Brest) with the École nationale des ponts et chaussées. It addresses the expansion of offshore wind in France and Europe, which requires engineers in R&D and in the design of floating systems. The four-semester programme includes a common core on steel and composite construction, offshore structures, fatigue and fracture, and geotechnical design. The second semester of the first year adds an application project and a 12-week internship. The second year covers offshore wind specialisation, and graduates are prepared for industry or academic research, with skills transferable to onshore wind, offshore structures and turbine technologies.

Requirements
