Overview

The Licence in Canon Law is unique in France at a public university and has been taught for more than a century within the Institute of Canon Law at the Faculty of Catholic Theology. Under international agreements between the French state and the Holy See, it leads to a dual state and canonical qualification with direct local career prospects. Specialised teaching takes place in the last two semesters, after students have completed two years or four semesters in a human science, law or political science discipline. The programme is one year, totals 180 ECTS and is taught in French, with personal support on campus and at a distance.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Two years or four semesters in human sciences, law or political science before the canon law semesters.
