Overview

The specialised English translation track has two branches: audiovisual translation and economic and legal translation. Students are admitted to one branch at entry and cannot switch during the programme. Audiovisual translation leads to dubbing, subtitling, accessibility work such as audio description and subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, and translation for video games and the web. Economic and legal translation prepares students for translation work in finance, banking, business, trade, notarial practice and justice. In both M1 and M2 an obligatory internship sits in the second semester. Non-francophone applicants are encouraged to apply if they have a high level of their own language and a very good command of French.

Requirements

Interview: Required
Admission Requirements: M1 via MonMaster. Selection has three steps: a file, then written tests (translation and a specialised version in each branch), then a motivation interview for candidates who pass the written tests.
