MA/MS in Chemistry

The Chemistry MSc is a two-year, four-semester programme of 120 ECTS credits taught in English. It deepens knowledge in analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, with obligatory lectures and laboratory practice in all four fields and elective courses that let students tailor their studies. Students gain research experience in at least one main discipline and learn to develop and apply ideas within a research project. Academic specialisations require 26 credits of specialised courses. Research takes place in the internationally recognised laboratories of the Institute of Chemistry. Graduates work as chemists in analytical, pharmaceutical, materials and synthetic research, or as production managers, food chemists and computational chemists.
