The Bachelor of Engineering in Systems Engineering develops graduates who can identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems using engineering, science, and mathematics, weighing public health, safety, global, cultural, and economic factors in their design judgment, while building teamwork, communication, and the capacity to pick up new engineering knowledge through appropriate experimentation and data analysis.
The degree requires at least 134 credit hours, including 65 credit hours inside the Systems Engineering major (51 core and 14 elective), with a minimum of 30 upper-level credit hours overall, 18 of which must sit in the major. Admission to the Systems Engineering major requires a grade of C- or better in MATH 110. Transfer credit from ABET-accredited programs is considered; transfers from non-accredited programs are accepted for courses outside the CPEG, ELEG, STEG, ENGR, and CSIS prefixes.
