Overview
The Associate Degree in Nursing at the College of Nursing prepares students for entry-level clinical practice through a 77-credit-hour curriculum spread across five semester levels, completed in roughly two and a half years of full-time study. Coursework blends foundational science, nursing theory and supervised clinical practice, building the skills needed to deliver safe, standards-based patient care.
Students who finish the associate track are not locked out of a four-year credential: a dedicated bridging pathway lets ADN graduates carry forward credit from courses they already passed, shortening the time needed to finish a bachelor's nursing degree afterward. Shared general-education and science classes are scheduled jointly with other nursing cohorts, while nursing-specific modules run separately for this group.
Graduates are expected to combine responsibility and accountability within their clinical role, uphold the ethical and legal codes that govern the nursing profession in Kuwait, and apply the standards of care expected of an associate-level nurse.
