Kuwait University's Department of Philosophy offers this Master of Arts in Philosophy, a graduate program centred on critical thinking, ethical reasoning and sustained engagement with core philosophical questions. The degree is designed to push students beyond undergraduate-level exposure into more rigorous independent philosophical work.
Admission is open to holders of a bachelor's degree in any field, provided the applicant has already passed two Philosophy courses with a grade of B+ or better in each, alongside a minimum GPA of 2.67 on a 4.0 scale, an admission exam score of at least 60 percent, and English proficiency evidence. The program accepts current undergraduates, non-degree applicants and part-time students, and enrols up to seven students per cycle, with faculty supervision spanning professors through assistant professors in the department.
A program director and committee members coordinate the degree, with downloadable major sheets setting out the course requirements for admitted students.
