Kuwait University's Department of Biological Sciences runs this Master of Science in Plant Biology, a research-focused graduate program centred on the biology of plants and their place within wider ecosystems. The degree is aimed at science graduates who want to move from undergraduate plant study into supervised, advanced botanical research.
Admission is open to holders of a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology, in Biological Sciences with Plant Biology support, or in Agricultural Botany and its subspecialties such as Horticultural Sciences and Agricultural Sciences, with a minimum GPA of 2.67 on a 4.0 scale and English proficiency evidence required. The program takes in up to eight students per cycle, welcomes current undergraduates into the pipeline, but does not accept non-degree students, part-time students or PAAET graduates.
A sizeable faculty group across the department supervises research, giving admitted students a broad choice of botanical specialisms to pursue for their thesis work.
