Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Top-Up Degree)

This Bachelor of Science top-up degree is designed for registered nurses who want to formalise and extend their professional development. It builds research literacy, teaching participants to critically evaluate evidence and information while strengthening their use of information technology in day-to-day practice. Alongside research skills, the course sharpens participants' awareness of current issues at the leading edge of nursing practice and develops the analytical, problem-solving and conceptual abilities needed to make sound decisions within their own sphere of professional responsibility. Graduates are expected to take an autonomous, self-reflective approach to their own development and to have the learning skills needed to pursue further study independently. The programme is aimed at nurses already registered with Malta's Council for Nurses and Midwives, or an equivalent registering body, who are looking to consolidate their qualifications.
