Diploma in Health Sciences – Nursing Studies

Designed around the competences set out in EU Directive 2013/55, this Diploma leads candidate nurses through a structured study journey that takes in how people develop physically, physiologically and spiritually, together with practical tools for managing illness and difficult behaviour. Working inside a multidisciplinary team, across different clinical settings, is treated as a core professional competence the course actively builds. Learning combines on-campus theoretical and simulation sessions with clinical work-placement practice across multidisciplinary health settings, keeping optimal patient care as the course's organising principle throughout. The programme is shaped by the scope-of-practice framework Malta's Council for Nurses and Midwives sets, and reinforces Maltese sector legislation alongside that same Council's ethical-conduct code for the profession. Worth 60 ECTS at MQF Level 5, the course runs full-time over twelve months. The stated fee applies specifically to non-EU applicants.
