Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Management

This Higher Diploma is built for people who want to step up into a genuine management role, giving the advanced skills and knowledge an organisation expects from an effective manager. Students learn to interpret and synthesise information so they can work through the complex issues that today's organisations routinely face. The course goes deep into practical management levers: setting and executing occupational goals, proposing marketing plans, building three-to-five-year manpower plans, handling ethical concerns, monitoring strategy as it rolls out, and making financial decisions, alongside staff appraisal and current issues affecting management practice. At 120 ECTS and MQF Level 5, it is IDEA's most substantial management award, running full-time over about twenty months or part-time over twenty-four to twenty-six. The course does not lead to a regulated profession, and entry requires an MQF Level 4 qualification (one A-Level or equivalent) plus English and Mathematics at MQF Level 3.
