Master of Science in Governance and Management

This Master of Science examines closely how governance and public policymaking relate to one another, balancing leading-edge scholarship with practical, real-world illustrations that get students ready for work in the policymaking world. The course covers modern and future governance principles, practices and issues, giving students a solid grasp of governance and leadership as seen from the viewpoints of companies, investors and other stakeholders. Students also examine major published reports on governance and explore the related organisational and ethical questions those reports raise. Graduates learn to weigh up critically how management functions and roles play out across public and private sectors in relation to governance and leadership theory, and to apply an in-depth understanding of management and governance theory, informed by current scholarship, to practical organisational and policy problems.
