Overview
The Bachelor in Dance Studies (Honours) trains dancers and choreographers with a particular focus on the use of technology, combining theory and practice so that each underpins and illuminates the other. Students develop as independent learners, building theoretical frameworks for their own projects and showing judgement in choreographic work, while contributing to Malta's community of dance scholars and practitioners.
The honours degree runs full-time over three years for 180 ECTS credits, with study becoming increasingly self-directed year on year before culminating in a final-year research dissertation on a topic of the student's own choosing.
Graduates can work, both locally and internationally, as an arts administrator, choreographer, dancer, theatre director, personal trainer, community arts worker or teacher, with a further route into academic study at university level.

Admission Requirements: General entry follows the University's list of country-specific minimum qualifications. Applicants are interviewed and/or auditioned by a board of at least three members, and must submit a completed medical fitness form together with a 250-word essay on dance performance or a dance book; those unable to attend in person may complete the process electronically.
