PhD in DBA PROGRAM STRUCTURE

IUM's DBA begins inside introductory modules shared with a Master's programme, and candidates who complete that stage are awarded an MSc in Business Research through MCI, The Entrepreneurial School, before moving into the doctoral phase proper: building and defending an original thesis. The two schools stay involved throughout, guiding the research project from its first outline to final submission. The structure is aimed at managers who want to step back from day-to-day practice and examine a real professional issue through an academic lens, pairing personal engagement from academic advisors with residential weeks spent alongside experienced peers. IUM frames it as a double-degree route: a staged path from applied management experience into a reflective, research-based doctorate, rather than a conventional campus-only programme.
