ISTORIJA (2020) - Master

This academic master's programme in history is offered at the University of Montenegro. The course list shows a close link between historical study and teacher preparation, since pedagogy and teaching methodology appear alongside the historical subjects. Core courses include the cultural heritage of Montenegro, informatics and history, the theoretical foundations of history teaching methodology, general pedagogy and the theory of upbringing, and didactics. Teaching practice in schools is covered in a dedicated methodology course. Later courses move to contemporary historiography, methods of historical research, geopolitics and techniques of scientific work. Students also choose between electives on the history of Montenegrin statehood and the culture of the modern age.
