Overview
This academic master programme in mechatronics at the University of Montenegro is interdisciplinary. Compared with the classical engineering sciences, it lets students develop a holistic view of a product, combining knowledge from mechanical engineering, electronics and control, and information technology with personal competences and teamwork.
The stated outcomes describe graduates who can communicate effectively with specialists from several disciplines, show critical thinking, analyse problems and predict how a chosen solution will behave in practice. They apply knowledge in new or unfamiliar settings, look at product design from different engineering viewpoints, and connect mechanical, electronic and information technologies into one unit.
Graduates are also expected to design control functions of mechatronic systems, work with microprocessor functions defined by software, review scientific papers, verify innovations experimentally with modern engineering tools, and carry out experiments independently. They should present their work in international journals, at conferences and in project proposals, design mechatronic products that improve or optimise functionality, and be ready to continue their education at universities abroad.
