Overview

Guitar is a specialist academic programme at the University of Montenegro, offered at postgraduate diploma level in music performance. The learning outcomes describe a graduate who can use the basics of professional guitar playing in solo and chamber settings, develop techniques of playing the instrument and keep building competences for lifelong learning. Students are also expected to analyse their own artistic process as well as the work of other concert performers, to distinguish musical periods and interpret styles with attention to their own sensibility, and to present their artistic results in concerts held to professional standards. The curriculum table on the page lists Guitar II, worth 16 ECTS, and Chamber Music II, worth 2 ECTS, as compulsory courses in the second semester. Notices attached to the programme mention a Music Technology course and exam material, including sight reading.
