Overview
This specialist academic programme in legal sciences at the University of Montenegro prepares graduates for specialised legal work in four areas. The page describes qualifications in criminal law, international law, civil law and business law, each ending with the ability to produce a specialist paper in that area.
In criminal law, graduates should be able to resolve criminal-law questions independently and to assess criminal-law content. In international law the focus is work in bodies that apply public international law, state and local administration, legislative bodies, the human rights ombudsman institution, the judiciary, associations and representations of international organisations in Montenegro and the region.
In civil law the graduate takes on complex work in the judiciary, the bar, business, state bodies and scientific and research institutions, while in business law the emphasis is on complex work in the judiciary, companies, banks, insurance companies, investment and pension funds, brokerage and dealer firms and public administration. The programme page lists budget financing, meaning state-funded study places.
