Overview

This four-year bachelor prepares students to teach dance within the performing arts field. It is offered by the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts together with Hanze University of Applied Sciences. Training covers dance teaching as the central focus, so students develop practical dance skills and the ability to pass them on to others. Graduates are qualified for a teaching career in dance within the performing arts. Admission follows a multi-round audition and a motivation letter, and the course is full-time and taught in Dutch.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Entry requires an mbo-4, havo or vwo diploma or equivalent. Applicants audition in three rounds across disciplines including ballet and singing, with a physical test. The third round includes an intake interview. A motivation letter of at most one A4 is required, and the audition ends with a medical check.
