MA/MS in Medical Epigenomics

This specialisation teaches a systems-level investigation of the gene-regulatory processes that govern cellular identity and function in both health and disease, treating a cell as one large, interconnected system. Epigenetic mechanisms during development and disease are studied from several angles, including DNA and RNA analysis through next-generation sequencing and protein analysis through mass spectrometry. Students are trained to design computational strategies that bring these varied, high-throughput data sets together into a single system, learning to combine advanced laboratory technology with biological software tools to study whole cellular networks without bias.
