BA/BS in Life Science and Technology

This international bachelor's combines biology, chemistry, physics, technology and pharmacology to explore the molecular mechanisms of life, giving students hands-on laboratory experience from the first year onward. Students examine the workings of living systems, starting from DNA and proteins and extending to neurons and nanomachines, and learn to put that knowledge to use in diagnostic technology, drug development and biomedical research, covering a range running from bioinformatics and cellular imaging through to drug design. The programme addresses global challenges in health, medicine and sustainability, whether a student's interest lies in the nervous system, new therapies or advanced microscopy of living cells, and graduates can continue into a follow-on master's, for instance in medical pharmaceutical sciences or biomolecular sciences.
