BA/BS in Design

The Design programme is organised across five departments, each built around one area of design practice: Photography, Textile and Fashion, Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, Interactive/Media Design, and Graphic Design, offered both full-time and part-time. Interactive/Media Design trains students to create meaningful interaction among people, systems, machines, cultures, societies and processes, treating the human element as central to the design process. Interior Architecture and Furniture Design addresses the spatial domain by examining the conditions that shape how people experience their everyday living environment. Textile and Fashion combines two disciplines within a single department, shaping its curriculum, while Photography pairs the development of photographic imagery with research into how video and still images affect viewers.
