MA/MS in Sonology

Sonology covers production, research and experimentation in electroacoustic music, computer music and sound art, with the sound itself composed to shape musical form. The institute uses technology to explore new forms of composition and presentation, without stylistic dogma. The two-year English-taught master centres on an independent research project documented in a thesis placed in a wider context. Entry usually requires a bachelor in Sonology or an equivalent degree, though the master is not an extension of that bachelor. Graduates often work as composers, sound designers or teachers.
