Open to students with a bachelor's background in electronics, telecommunications, engineering cybernetics, physics or a related field, the programme allows specialisation in areas such as nano electronics and photonics, digital and embedded systems, analog circuit design and radio systems, communications and space systems, signal processing, and acoustics for communication, environment and sensing. Coursework explains how electronic systems are shaped and adapted to the needs of their users, with substantial mathematics and physics content covering how waves travel through air, water, space, and even the human body. Named potential work areas include underwater technology, nanotechnology applied in fields such as medicine and autonomous vehicles, space technology, communication technology, acoustics, microchip development and the Internet of Things. Teaching is delivered in English, and a master's degree can lead on to further PhD study.
