Overview
This 30 ECTS course package covers diet and nutrition for older people, with attention to food, meals and the prevention of malnutrition in care settings and at home. Students study anatomy and physiology relevant to ageing, basic nutrition, food in the population and how to support good nutrition among older adults. The package is delivered online.
Students can take the courses over one or two semesters. An optional two-day digital gathering is held each semester, and one of the courses can be credited towards the bachelor in nutrition. Knowledge of nutrition suits work in health, care and food-related roles.
