The bachelor in history follows the course of human history from the earliest civilisations and the emergence of democracy through industrialisation to climate change and the present day. From the first semester, students carry out their own historical investigations and test theoretical and methodological questions in practice. Teaching covers source criticism, the role of the historian in society and career options. Students work in seminars and receive guidance from researchers, and the student association and journal support student life.
The degree is full-time, three years, 180 ECTS credits, taught on campus in Oslo, close to the National Archives and the National Library.
