Cert in Helseøkonomi og administrasjon

The one-year programme in health economics and administration gives students skills in economics, health policy and health law for the public and private health sector. Students learn how health policy decisions are made, how health institutions are organised and how providers are paid. Business economics teaches accounting and financial management, health economics introduces utility theory and how society sets priorities between health services, statistics covers data analysis, and health law and contract management cover the legal framework. The programme is full-time, 60 ECTS credits, taught on campus. It can be part of a bachelor's degree or combined with other studies. It suits people already working in health services and those aiming for roles in hospitals and municipal health services.
