Overview

The BSc (Hons) in Facilities Management at the International College of Engineering and Management introduces students to the wide range of activities that make up facilities management. It gives them skills for pursuing a career in the field and is taught in Oman. Applicants should have finished 12 years of school in the pure or applied mathematics stream, with pass grades in English alongside mathematics, physics and chemistry. A diagnostic placement test in English, mathematics and science is used at entry, and the programme provides structured help with English language skills. Applicants with an ICEM foundation year at the required IELTS level are exempt from the usual entry conditions. The degree is built in stages, each with an exit award for students who leave early, and optional industrial placements are offered.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Entry requires 12 years of school in the Pure or Applied Mathematics stream or an equivalent, with Mathematics, English, Physics and Chemistry each at grade D or above in the Omani General Diploma. Every applicant takes a diagnostic placement test covering English, Mathematics and Science. English must reach IELTS 5.0 overall, with no individual section under 4.5. Candidates who finished an ICEM foundation year at this IELTS level and showed adequate proficiency are exempt from these conditions.
