Overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy is a four-year programme offered by the pharmacy college of the National University in Oman. The college works in partnership with West Virginia University in the United States and has approval from Oman's health ministry and from its higher education ministry. The curriculum is integrated across the years and leans on active learning, so that students take an active role in how they learn. Professional skills, ethics and values, and communication skills, are built into both the teaching and the assessment methods. Graduation requires 164 credits of coursework, which include 600 hours of training components. The college states its aim as gaining recognition, nationally and internationally, for pharmacy education and for research in pharmacy and wider health topics.
