MSc Health-System Pharmacy Administration

The Health-System Pharmacy Administration MSc is a postgraduate programme of the pharmacy college of the National University in Oman, designed with the School of Pharmacy at West Virginia University in the United States. It responds to local and regional needs of pharmacists who want to move into management and leadership roles in hospitals and health-system pharmacies. It readies graduates for leadership roles in healthcare and in the operation of pharmacy enterprises, developing pharmacist leaders committed to lifelong learning. Graduates are encouraged to build collaborative relationships across practice settings, make use of technological innovation, and work for better healthcare delivery and safer medication use. They also gain a firm grasp of the complexities of pharmaceutical care within the healthcare system. The course is spread over four semesters. The first two are given to theory and to designing research projects within health-system pharmacy.
