ARIU's Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts is a two-year programme for students entering professional kitchens, food service management, or further culinary study. It combines hands-on cooking technique with food safety, nutrition and cost-control theory.
Year 1 builds core culinary technique, cooking fundamentals and health and food-safety practice; Year 2 adds bakery and pastry work, international gastronomy, nutrition and sustainability, plus an internship alongside cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting modules.
Two intakes run each year, in September and February. Entry normally expects Year 12 completion with at least a 70% average; around 60% may still be considered after admissions advice, and overseas or private-school applicants need a legalized secondary certificate plus a government-recognised equivalence certificate from Qatar's education ministry. Fees run QR18,000 per semester, plus QR7,680 in sundries, for a QR25,680 semester total.
