Community College of Qatar's Associate of Mechanical Engineering Technology is run by the Engineering Technology Department within the Science and Technology Division, delivered over two years of English-language classroom study. The program prepares students for technically oriented careers that meet Qatar's needs, or for progressing into a bachelor's degree, combining communication skills with applied engineering competencies.
Students learn to identify and solve basic mechanical engineering problems using core principles of engineering and science, and to produce solutions that account for public health, safety, and social and environmental factors. Graduates leave able to communicate across a range of audiences, work within a technical team, and interpret experimental data using engineering judgment. The qualification leads into entry-level roles such as heavy equipment technician, testing and calibration technician, HVAC technician, and production operator.
