The Master of Accounting (MAC) is Qatar University's AACSB-accredited graduate program in accounting, built to give students advanced training in managing financial information for senior managerial and financial roles across industries. Coursework blends practice-based classes with case studies drawn from Harvard Business Publishing, taught by faculty active in both academia and industry, and students choose between a non-thesis, practice-oriented path or a thesis-based, research-oriented path.
Guest lectures from established companies, partnerships with local organizations, and an international exchange option let qualifying students spend a semester in a partner university's accounting program. Graduates move into roles such as chief accountant, chief financial officer, internal or external auditor, financial manager, accounting information systems specialist, and business consultant, and the program also suits professionals pursuing certifications or further academic study.
