Master of Science in Accountancy

The MSc in Accountancy at Nanyang Business School lasts 12 months, is studied full-time and is meant for students who want to deepen their accounting knowledge and move forward in their careers in Singapore or elsewhere. It is offered with two tracks, General and Data Analytics. The General track surveys the changing global business and accounting environment and applies technology and advanced analytical methods to professional accounting practice. Both ACRA, the accounting regulator, and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants accredit the programme, which gives students on this track direct entry to the Singapore Chartered Accountant professional examinations. The Data Analytics track responds to the way artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation are reshaping accounting and audit work. As these tools take over routine tasks, accountants can concentrate on more demanding analysis and judgement, and students on this track learn to work with such technologies in finance and audit settings.
