Master of Science (Research) in Physics

This research-based Master of Science in Physics is offered through SPMS, NTU's physical and mathematical sciences school. It combines advanced coursework with hands-on experience of original research in physics, including its applied side. Students are admitted to the physics division only when a faculty member has agreed to supervise their research. Applicants should therefore contact faculty whose interests match their own before starting the formal application, and begin applying once a supervisor has agreed. Applications are taken in two windows each year: October to January for the August intake, and June to July for the January intake, with most students joining in the first. Students can study full-time or part-time, and are encouraged to approach potential supervisors before they apply.
