Graduate Certificate in Computing Foundations

These graduate certificates in computing foundations are part-time certification programmes at the NUS School of Computing for working professionals who want to move into the computing field. They offer a systematic route for applicants with a limited computing background to acquire core competences, and the courses are taught by faculty who are scholars and researchers in their areas. There are two certificates, Computing Foundations I and II, each made up of three courses, and candidates must finish the first before continuing to the second. Everyone is admitted part-time and has up to 36 months from admission to finish, taking between one and three courses a semester. The certificates can lead on to further study. Graduates may apply to count completed foundation courses towards the essential-course requirement of the General Track MComp, for up to 24 Units, subject to school approval and to a minimum grade of B- in the courses concerned, which must have been taken within the previous five academic years.
