Graduate Certificate in Mechanical Engineering

The Graduate Certificate in Mechanical Engineering at NUS gives broad coverage of subjects that matter to mechanical engineering employers in Singapore, such as mechatronics, robotics, energy, thermal systems, aeronautical engineering and materials. The material spans production processes, product design and the problems modern mechanical engineering faces. The courses are meant to deepen the knowledge of working engineers and ready them for fresh challenges in related sectors. Candidates pass three courses, equal to 12 units, and reach a GPA of 2.5 or higher on the 5-point scale. A course typically carries four units, and not every listed course runs every year. Part-time candidature lasts a maximum of two years. Graduates who want to continue to the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering need an overall GPA of 3.0 or above, subject to department approval, and must submit a separate application to that programme.
