Overview

Parallel Realities (XR) is a newer study direction that responds to the meeting of technology and creativity. It sits at the intersection of computer games, video and photography and of fast-developing areas such as artificial intelligence and virtual (VR), augmented (AR) and mixed (MR) reality, and it prepares students to create digital worlds. The programme joins theory with practical skills. It covers 3D modelling, 3D animation and programming in virtual environments, from game development to digital art, while keeping a firm base in photography. Students learn to build immersive experiences in VR, AR and MR and develop their technical abilities. The curriculum runs over three years and six semesters of 30 ECTS each. Courses include visual media design, lighting techniques, authorial photography, video and new media, prompt engineering, an XR studio in the final year, a portfolio and practical training, plus elective subjects.
