— it helps other students.
Aimed at people who want to resolve managerial, technical and financial problems within firms, this applied first-cycle degree is taught in Slovene on a full-time basis. Students attend lectures and practical workshops, spend time on an industrial placement and finish by writing a diploma thesis.
The course is spread over six semesters. General subject areas dominate the opening half, and the closing half turns to specialised topics. In the fifth semester, students spend twelve weeks with a regional employer, and the thesis typically extends the project done there, allowing deeper work on a real business setting. A third-year module in entrepreneurial planning draws on earlier coursework.
Graduates may work in running technological and commercial systems. The award is a Diploma, called diplomirani gospodarski inženir (VS), comparable to a Bachelor of Applied Science.
