Program details
Overview
Research drives this first-cycle programme, which puts key theory in front of students early so research work can start soon. Alongside core mathematics and physics, first-years become familiar in the physics laboratory with experimental methods.
Later, study turns towards astrophysics and solid state physics, mixed with research. Students can take part in genuine research at university facilities, among five research units that include the Center for Astrophysics and Cosmology and the Laboratory for Quantum Optics.
A bachelor seminar in the final year completes the course. Graduates may specialise further in the university's master's programme, in either its astrophysics or solid state physics module, or continue at other universities. The award is an academic bachelor's degree with the title diplomirani fizik.
