This master's programme educates future mathematics teachers for secondary schools. The education modules are sized so that graduates satisfy the conditions for teaching mathematics as a subject in its own right at every pre-university level, and graduates may go on to the third cycle.
The programme lasts five years (ten semesters) and carries 300 ECTS credits, 60 per year. Graduates receive the title magister profesor matematike or magistrica profesorica matematike, abbreviated mag. prof. mat. The curriculum shown is for cohorts that began in 2024/25 or later; earlier cohorts follow the previous programme.
Entry is open to holders of the general matura, to those with a vocational matura and a general matura in mathematics, and to those who finished a four-year secondary programme before 1 June 1995. Every applicant must show Slovenian at CEFR level B2 with a certificate.
