The Chemical Engineering programme covers the design, operation and improvement of processes that change the chemical, energy or physical state of materials, from raw materials to useful products. Students learn laboratory practice, design, quality control and solutions to industrial, technological and environmental problems in sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals, paper, plastics and water treatment.
The four-year programme includes an internship. The department aims to train engineers who take professional and ethical responsibility. Its faculty includes one associate professor, six assistant professors, two research assistants and one technician. Graduates receive the title Mühendis.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission only through the national YKS exam and ÖSYM central placement, using the SAY score type. The programme had 30 places and a lowest placement score of 354.3 (success rank 183,384). Candidates must reach a success rank of 300,000 or better in the score type. A high school diploma is required.
