Overview

The Civil Engineering bachelor's programme in the Faculty of Engineering began in 1998 with 33 students and runs for four years in Turkish. It requires 240 ECTS credits, of which 25 percent are elective. Students must complete 60 days of off-site practice, 30 days on construction sites and 30 days in offices, and the programme emphasises analytical thinking, engineering ethics and teamwork. Graduates receive the title İnşaat Mühendisi (civil engineer). Admission is through central YKS placement under the SAY score type.

Admission Requirements: Central YKS placement by ÖSYM under the SAY score type. 40 places; lowest placement score 386.1 (success rank 134,663) in the latest guide. A minimum success rank of 300,000 is required for this programme.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
