Overview

The Chemistry programme is a four-year bachelor's degree at the Polatlı Faculty of Arts and Sciences. It combines teaching, research and service missions and trains chemists who understand theory and laboratory work. Students take a range of elective courses that support career planning after graduation. The programme aims to produce chemists with strong theoretical knowledge, practical laboratory skills and analytical thinking. Graduates may take part in national and international research projects or continue to graduate study.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Central ÖSYM placement through YKS, SAY score type, 30 places, lowest placement score 313 (success rank 274,220). Instruction is in Turkish. Applicants are placed through central ÖSYM results and high-school grade point average.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
